MOSIS offers some free design rule checking (DRC) services for
commercial projects designed in the TSMC 0.35, 0.25, and 0.18 micron
technologies using the vendor design rules.
How To Request a DRC for TSMC Layout
MOSIS is pleased to announce a new service for MOSIS users that will
provide commercial customers (at no charge) with the output listing
from a formal design rule check (DRC) for designs fabricated in the
TSMC 0.35, 0.25, and 0.18 micron technologies. A second, followup DRC
may be requested, for a maximum of two DRC's per design. Only designs
submitted in GDS format using the vendor design rules will be
eligible.
To qualify for this offer, layout must be submitted at least one week
in advance of the run closing date. The DRC output will be delivered
to the customer by an automated system with minimal processing by
MOSIS. The DRC decks will be those provided by the foundry for each
process, and no guarantee of their correctness or completeness is
made. MOSIS will distribute the DRC output as a design aid only, not
as an indicator of the quality of the design or its functionality.
MOSIS will not review the results of the DRC. Designers will be
responsible for all analysis and interpretation. The standard DRC fee
will be assessed if the project is cancelled.
MOSIS does not offer DRC services for MEP account submissions.
